This is about running skype on slackware 13 [64 bit]. Skype can be downloaded from skype website. Next download the packages needed to have a multilib slackware, which enables execution of 32 bit binaries, more information on http://connie.slackware.com/~alien/multilib/ Pull all the binaries and install them. Also download following 32 bit slackware 13 packages from the same site as above or the 32 bit non converted from any slackware repository and use the convertpkg tool to create compatible packages:
